Tawaran Biasiswa Tunku Abdul Rahman (BTAR)

This prestigious and exclusive scholarship is offered to excellent students with high leadership talent. It provides financial support to potential graduates who are pursuing studies at Bachelor’s Degree level at any IPTA or IPTS in the country. Recipients of this scholarship are named Tunku Scholars.

The scholarship is open to all, focusing especially on high-potential students with a strong financial need to cover the expenses of the university’s tuition fees and living expenses during the course of the study. We encourage all Malaysians from all fields of study to apply as all applications will be reviewed individually and holistically by the YTAR team. Among the selection criteria that we look for in the selection process are:

Pemberian Biasiswa

Penerima yang layak menerima biasiswa ini adalah mendapat bantuan kewangan seperti berikut:

  • Yuran universiti: Penajaan penuh untuk yuran pengajian di institut pengajian tinggi awam (IPTA) atau swasta (IPTS) yang diiktiraf oleh MQA.
  • Elaun bulanan: Pemberian elaun sara pada untuk setiap bulan sepanjang biasiswa.
  • Elaun tahunan: Elaun tahunan diberi untuk pengembangan profesional bagi peningkatan diri setiap penerima. Elaun alat tulis dan buku teks turut diberikan.
  • Elaun sekali sepanjang biasiswa: Elaun ini diberikan dalam bentuk yang lain seperti pembelian komputer riba, kos tesis, pakaian rasmi ataupun juga tiket penerbangan (antara Semenanjung dan Timur Malaysia).

Program Kepimpinan

Penerima biasiswa ini perlu menyertai program kepimpinan yang disediakan merangkumi:

  • Mentorship
    – Penerima biasiswa akan menerima bimbingan oleh para profesional dan juga alumni tentang kerjaya dan perkembangan diri.
  • Peluang pembangunan
    – Penerima biasiswa akan menghadiri bengkel dan kem sepanjang 2 tahun untuk mengasah kemahiran kepimpinan, pemikiran kritikal dan kemahiran interpersonal.
  • Projek kemasyarakatan
    – Sebagai sebahagian daripada perjalanan pembangunan kepimpinan diri, setiap penerima biasiswa perlu mengurus dan menjalankan sebuah projek kemasyarakatan di bawah bimbingan yayasan ini. 

Syarat Kelayakan

Pemohon perlu memenuhi syarat kelayakan yang ditetapkan oleh pemohon seperti berikut:

  1. Warganegara Malaysia.
  2. Umur tidak melebihi 25 tahun pada tarikh tutup permohonan biasiswa.
  3. Telah menamatkan pengajian pra-universiti dan mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya dua tahun pengajian sarjana muda di mana-mana universiti awam atau swasta tempatan yang diiktiraf oleh MQA.

Keutamaan diberikan kepada:

  1. Pernah atau sedang menghadapi cabaran yang sukar.
  2. Menunjukkan potensi kepimpinan dan menunjukkan nilai Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman.
  3. Calon yang datang daripada latar belakang yang mencabar, seperti Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU), calon masyarakat luar bandar dan calon daripada keluarga berpendapatan kurang daripada RM4,850 sebulan.

Permohonan boleh dilakukan dengan mengikuti tatacara permohonan seperti berikut:

  3. Isi maklumat yang diperlukan dengan lengkap dan betul.
  4. Muat naik dokumen sokongan.
  5. Klik butang ‘Submit’ untuk menghantar permohonan.

Dokumen Sokongan

Dokumen sokongan yang perlu dimuat naik ketika membuat permohonan adalah seperti berikut:

  1. Salinan kad pengenalan.
  2. Salinan keputusan Pra-U atau semester terkini.
  3. Surat Tawaran Kemasukan Universiti (jika berkenaan).
  4. Bukti pendapatan seperti penyata pendapatan atau slip cukai pendapatan atau slip gaji ibubapa atau penjaga (3 bulan) atau penyata akaun bank.
  5. Surat Sokongan/Letter of Recommendation dari pendidik ataupun majikan calon (tidak wajib tetapi digalakkan).

Tawaran Biasiswa MMMC Scholarships & Bursary

Melaka Manipal Medical College (MMMC) is offering scholarships & bursary to eligible Malaysian students who wish to study Foundation in Science, Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) & Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in MMMC campus.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

Foundation Programme

  • Full Scholarship:
    A’s in the core subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) and meeting the minimum grades in other entry requirement subjects
  • Half Scholarship:
    6A’s in any subject and meeting the minimum grades in other entry requirement subjects

Undergraduate Programme

  • Academic excellence equivalent to minimum A-Level grades of 3A / CGPA 3.6 from STPM, Matriculation / other recognised qualifications, whereby the CGPA is calculated from required subjects under entry requirements.
  • Meets all entry criteria for admissions, including at SPM.
  • Holds an Offer of Study for MBBS or BDS from MMMC.
  • Provisional offer-holders will be accepted, and Scholarship will only be awarded upon conversion of the offer to an Unconditional Offer.
  • For Melaka-Manipal Hardship Bursary: Combined parents income of RM 36,000 & below per annum and must be supported by the required financial documents indicated in Application Form.

TO APPLY

  • Separate scholarship application which includes 1 essay and 1 external reference letter (Academic and character).
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a Scholarship interview, conducted by panel to be determined by MMMC, chaired by MMMC’s Chief Executive.
  • Awards would be determined based on the total scores from the Scholarship interview, with the best scores receiving the highest awards and so forth.
  • Foundation scholarship is automatically awarded based on final academic entry results.

B. Undergraduate Scholarship
(Application will be open from 16 March to 15 April 2019)
The Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to eligible individuals who have received offers to pursue or are currently pursuing undergraduate studies.
Candidates must fulfill the following minimum requirements:
  • STPM / A-Level - at least 3 As; or
  • Diploma / Matriculation - Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.50; or
  • South Australian Matriculation - ATAR of at least 85%; or
  • American Foundation Program - SAT1 score of at least 1200; or
  • For candidates currently pursuing undergraduate studies - Current CGPA of at least 3.50.
  • Passed SPM with five (5) credits including Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Inggeris and Matematik subjects
  • Not exceeding 25 years of age on 1 July 2019.
  • Obtained an offer to pursue or is currently pursuing undergraduate studies in 2019 from top universities per the Bank's list of approved universities.

The Karangkraf Scholarship is an Education Fund established by MEDIA GROUP KARANGKRAF to help the SPM, STPM & DIPLOMA who intend to pursue a Foundation, Diploma and Degree in a private university.
Criteria
Applicant must meet all the below requirements
  • Aged less than 25 years
  • Excellent results in SPM (minimum 8 credits), STPM / Matriculation / Diploma or its equivalent of at least CGPA 3.00
  • Active in sports and extra-curricular activities
  • Fluent and can write well in English
  • Not involved and be bound by any fund education or other education loans.
  • Accept the offer of admission from any institution
  • Household income does not exceed RM5,000.00

How to apply for Karangkraf Scholarship

Application forms can be printed here. Applications can be made at any time after receiving an offer letter by the university. The application processing takes 14 working days from the date of receipt.
Among the supporting documents to be submitted has been set as follows: –
  • Scholarship Application Form Karangkraf.
  • A copy of the applicant’s identity card (front and back on the same page);
  • A copy of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
  • A copy of the offer letter from the university (can be obtained from the university’s website);
  • A copy of the transcript of the examination results and certificates Other qualification. Example: STPM / Diploma / Matriculation
  • A copy of the salary slip / Income Tax (Individual) / pension card / pensions / Income Verification Letter / Unsuccessful Verification Letter  – MOTHER, FATHER, GUARANTORS 1 AND 2

Tawaran Biasiswa Yayasan Sime Darby Scholarship (Undergraduate)

Scholarship details

Yayasan Sime Darby invites qualified students who will commence their undergraduate programme in September 2019 after completing their STPM or Foundation/Matriculation studies as well as those who are in their first year of undergraduate studies to apply for education sponsorship to pursue undergraduate studies at recognised Malaysian academic institutions approved by YSD.

+Criteria

Applicant must meet all the below requirements
  • Malaysian;
  • Age 25 years or below;
  • STPM/Pre-University/Foundation/Local Matriculation/Diploma (minimum CGPA of at least 3.30); or 3A’s for A-Level programme;
  • Total monthly gross household income of RM10,000 and below;

On completion of studies, scholars will be required to serve Sime Darby Group of Companies for 2 to 4 years, depending on the value of the scholarship.
